Choosing a Moonswatch Band

Spread the love

Two months after the launch of the swatch x Omega BioCeramic Moonswatch band, it’s still taking the watch world by storm. In fact, so much so that lines for the limited-edition model grew longer than some Category 5 hurricanes, and horology enthusiasts from Tokyo to London had to turn to law enforcement to calm the crowds.

Moonswatch Band: Best Options and Styles

It’s easy to see why the Moonswatch sparked such a frenzy: The 42mm case is designed in Bioceramic to look just like an Omega Speedmaster, and it wears size-wise almost exactly the same as a Steel Speedy. And that means the watch takes a range of straps quite well, from leather to fitted rubber.

For the Mission To Mercury, a Cordura/Silicone Hybrid strap from Barton Bands amplifies the watch’s dark gray color scheme and sleek aesthetic. This is a popular choice for this particular model, but the Cordura/Silicone hybrid strap also works very well with the Mission To Venus, which features a gorgeous play of ovary pink and black.

Another option is the Curved Rubber Strap from Wristbuddys, which was designed specifically for the MoonSwatch. It comes in a wide variety of colors, from subtle black to vibrant red and beyond, all of which complement the watch’s color palette perfectly.

NATOs are another highly popular strap style for the MoonSwatch, primarily due to their street-cool, tool-like appeal. A rich burgundy NATO from CNS Watch Bands is a great match for the Mission To Pluto’s raspberry ripple colorway, and the navy NATO strap that’s available for the Mission To Mars brings out the watch’s warm, deep blue coloring.
